Privacy notice
What this site does with your data
Short version: almost nothing. The site is a static page with no analytics service, no advertising, no tracking pixels and no third-party scripts. Fonts, images and videos are served from this site itself.
What stays in your browser
Some features remember your choices using your browser’s local storage. This information never leaves your device and is not visible to the author or anyone else.
| Feature | What is stored |
|---|---|
| Case File 001 | Which evidence checks and clues you have solved, and the final deduction. |
| Investigator profile | The optional callsign you type. |
| Reading Room | Your current passage, bookmark, text size and light/dark preference. |
To remove all of it, clear this site’s data in your browser settings, or use “Start the case again” and “Remove bookmark” on the page.
Reader updates form
When you submit the reader-updates form, your email address, your chosen interest and your consent are delivered to the authors as an email, using the form-delivery service Web3Forms (its privacy policy). The authors use your address only to send the updates you asked for, and you can ask to be removed at any time by replying to any message. If the delivery service is not yet connected, the form instead offers to open your own email app with the request pre-filled, and nothing is sent or stored by this site.
Recovered transmissions
The “Play transmission” feature uses your browser’s built-in text-to-speech voice. No audio is recorded or uploaded.
Links to other sites
Retailer and social links, once added, open other companies’ websites in a new tab. Their privacy policies apply there.
